Influxis Launches P2P Hosting
December 7, 2010Influxis, a specialist in interactive streaming services, today launched a new hosting service for the Adobe® Flash® Media Enterprise Server 4 software. The service provides a deployment and support platform to help companies easily benefit from the bandwidth-cost savings and high capacity scaling made possible with Real Time Media Flow Protocol (RTMFP) Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology.
The Influxis service gives people access to the new technology along with deployment and development support. In addition, global network options exist to further reduce server load, latency, and bandwidth associated with streaming and collaboration.
The operational cost savings are achieved through the P2P capabilities of RTMFP. Influxis customers who use Adobe Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 are able to substitute streaming from the traditional server-to-client transmission to instead conduct a client-to-client, or peer-to-peer, transmission.
