PTV Productions’ award-winning documentary “Inside Disaster: Haiti” features a first-person simulation based on documentary footage and real-life decision scenarios titled “Experience the Haiti Earthquake”. Powered by Influxis, this interactive online simulation lets you be the survivor, journalist or aid worker and takes you through a disaster scene after another. With photo and video streaming on demand, at the end of each scene, it lets you choose the next path and experience the pain, suffering, courage and hope in the midst of the Haiti earthquake up-close and personal in an immersive multimedia way. This web-based interactive experience won the 2010/2011 Applied Arts Interactive Award and was the finalist for the 2011 Canadian New Media Awards. It was also recognized as one of top 5 social impact games of 2010 by Games 4 Change.
